Bold Ethics for Challenging Times

A short film celebrating over 17 years of The Co-operative Bank's unique ethical policy.

This film marks the 2009 launch of The Co-operative Bank’s updated Ethical Policy. The film charts the story of the Ethical Policy’s 17-year history, from its controversial beginnings in the early nineties, through the compelling 1996 landmine campaign, to the 2009 announcement that whilst we’ve turned down £1 billion worth of finance in conflict with our ethical stance, we’ve successfully grown our commercial lending to £4.4 billion over the same period. There are also highlights of a dispute with Vogue on the animal testing of cosmetics, and an entertaining tussle with Jeremy Paxman over ferreting! Visit www.co-operativebank.co.uk.
