EU launch European Action on Drugs

International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

United Nations decided to observe 26th of June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.

For her part, the European Union joins this celebration and launches the European Action on Drugs (EAD). Through this action, the EU encourages any organisation or citizen willing to take responsibility for tackling the serious drugs problem to sign it.
