Education officer Erica Kyere explains what is unique about the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana.
Her job entails going out into the villages, meeting the farmers and trying to find out what problems they face at a village level. With 45,000 farmers – democracy is important to the Kuapa Kokoo co-operative to make sure everyone gets their voice heard. One man one vote, sharing equitably, she teaches the farmers these values.
