A look at the work of the charity 500 miles, in the context of the back story and motivation of its founder,Olivia Giles. 500 miles delivers and develops prosthetic & orthotic services. It facilitates the delivery of mobility promoting surgery to amputees living in remote communities Malawi and Zambia using a flying surgical service, FlySpec. The film shows the challenges and rewards of delivering the service. Olivia is a quadruple amputee, having lost her lower arms and legs to meningitis.
